How old do you have to be to play?
The ages range from 10 to 14 yrs old.

What divisions do you offer?
We have three unweighted divisions in our program.  We are currently not offering any weighted divisions.
11U PEE WEE (9-11yr), 12U MINORS (11-12yrs), and  14U (13-14yrs).

What division should I register my player for?
Depending on the age and weight of your player they can fall within one of four divisions that we offer.   Our coaches will decipher which division your child will play in at our start of season conditioning practices.  

Who supplies the equipment?
Parents are responsible for all equipment needed for your players.   Parents are encouraged to have their players fitted at one of our preferred vendors for helmets and pads before the seasons first practice.  This will ensure players have all the proper equipment for the start of the season.  You can check the equipment link for more information about where to purchase football equipment.  Practice jerseys will be handed out at the first official practice and must be returned at the end of the season's last practice.  

What equipment do I need?
Players will need the standard football gear:
- Helmet- (white)
- Shoulder Pads
-Facemask (forest green or black)
- 7- Pad Football Girdle (includes knee, thigh, hip and butt pads)
- Practice Pants – (white or black)
- Football cleats (no metal cleats)
- Mouthguard (no clear mouthpieces)
- Uniforms (must be purchased & fitted thru the Jr. Huskies Program). You can check the Fees & Uniform link for more information.

What if I have a helmet but it is not white?
You can bring your helmet in and we can have it painted white. Contact James Tomas for more information.

How much playing time will my child get?
Playing time and positions are EARNED and NEVER JUST GIVEN.  A player must give 100% effort at all practices and games, they must attend all practices, they must study and know the play book, they must always demonstrate sportsmanship, they must practice and strengthen (sit-ups, push-ups, run, etc.) on their own time at home and safety first will always play as a major deciding factor when putting a player on the field.  Please click the link "Expectaions and Playing Time" and read it carefully for full disclosure.

Is the Coaching staff paid or volunteers?
All of our Junior Huskies coaches are VOLUNTEER coaches with backgrounds in tackle football. They dedicate countless hours of their time on and off of the field to make sure each player has the proper knowledge to play tackle football safely and with confidence.

How much are the Fees?
CLUB FEE: $120 per player (due on or before the 1st practice)
LEAGUE FEE (Registration): $120 per player till 1/15/2024 then goes up to $159 (Arizona YFL)
UNIFORM FEES: 2 Packages to chose from (payment due on or before time of fitting).
- PACKAGE A:  $160  Includes: 2 Game Jerseys (1 Green & 1 White )  &  2 Game Pants (1 Green & 1 White)
- PACKAGE B:  $220 Includes: 2 Game Jerseys (1 Green & 1 White)  & 2 Game Pants (1 Green & 1 White),
     1 compression shirt w/ name & number & 1 duffel bag with your number.

How do we pay the Club, League, & Uniform Fees (Registration)?
All Fees can be paid by:  Venmo: @james-tomas-5 (note: your players name & uniform package option) or by Cash or Check Payable to: Jr. Huskies Football (memo: your players first and last name)

Is the club fee separate from the league fee?
Yes it is.  There is a 120.00 club fee and a league registration fee of 159.00 (120.00 if you register before 1/15/2024)

If my child is a returning player do we still need to register?
Yes.  Every season, each player (new & returning) must pre-register on the Jr. Huskies website. I will take that pre-registration list and register  everyone at once as a "Team"  with the  league.  As a returning player, you will not have to register your son directly with the league anymore.
